The name Jahrhunderthalle is almost on everyone’s lips, not only among the Bochumers. The industrial buidling which is more than a hundred years old has been used for various purposes. By starting out as an exhibition hall it was turned into a gas power station. Now, for the last twenty years, it has left its industrial function and became one of the Ruhr Area’s main locations for culture, economy and entertainment.
