The urbanana-Award is being presented to the best creative urban tourism projects in North Rhine-Westphalia. The winners prove that cross-sector cooperation between the creative, digital and tourism industries is bearing golden yellow fruit. With this in mind, Tourismus NRW e.V. together with its partners, Düsseldorf Tourismus, KölnTourismus and Ruhr Tourismus, and in cooperation with CREATIVE.NRW, had announced a competition in 2017, 2019 and 2020 to honour inspiring innovations that are worth imitating. It seems that NRW is full of brilliant ideas – which is why we are giving out the award annually.
As a main component of the project FLOW.NRW, the urbanana-Award will attract the attention of value added potential of tourism for the North Rhine-Westphalian digital and creative industries. The urbanana-Award supports and promotes the transition of city tourism in North Rhine-Westphalia and invites people, using a cosmopolitan speech, to spend their holiday, work or live in NRW for a shorter or longer period of time. Businesses from the tourism, creative and digital industries related to North Rhine-Westphalia can apply for one of the six awards endowed with 4000 Euros.
